Overview
Student Life at Bread Springs Day School
Bread Springs Day School is offers kindergarten through third grade. Student life activities include an after-school program, theatre outings, Navajo language and culture lessons, weekly P.E. classes, and more. Our educational community keeps young scholars curious and excited about becoming lifelong learners.
The Home of the Cardinals is a bright and colorful learning environment that introduces students to Navajo tradition, learning, and scholarship. We create a safe and supportive environment for students to grow and mature mentally, physically and socially. Our early childhood education program forms the cultural foundation and starting point for our students’ educational journeys.
21st Century Community Learning Center (Before/After/Summer Care Program)
All students are invited to participate in various programs through the 21st Century Community Learning Center. These student learning centers operate before school, after school and in the summer to accommodate various schedules and reach as many students as needed.
21st Century Programs help Bread Springs Day School create teaching outlets for students to engage with community leaders outside of school. Students develop their overall well-being, including character education, recreation, art and music education, reading, math and science enhancement.
Arts Education
Students are introduced to the arts via trips to the theatre and various performance sites. The early introduction of theatrical arts exposes students to the educational, entertainment, and creative values of music, drama, dance and singing.
Navajo Language & Culture Classes
Our Navajo Language and Culture Classes focus on providing every student with reflections of their Native identity, tradition and language. We have a dedicated team of educational technicians who share cultural and historical foundations with every Cardinal.
Physical Education
Bread Springs Day School fosters the overall well-being of its students with a focus on maintaining physical fitness. Physical education remains an important aspect of a healthy student’s life. In addition to sufficient daily outdoor play, exercise and activities, students participate in weekly P.E. classes.
