Special Education at Bread Springs Day School

Bread Springs Day School caters to the developmental and academic needs of all kindergarten to third grade students. This early stage of education requires careful attention and supportive services to recognize and address any learning disabilities and gaps. Our special education teachers use state-of-the-art tools and resources to ensure students reach their full potential.

Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

We understand that every student’s learning process is unique and that our teaching strategies need to meet their specific needs. Parents, teachers, and specialists collaborate to design the best learning plans to help students overcome learning challenges. Bread Springs Day School’s early childhood educational program uses holistic approaches to ensure overall well-being.

Speech/Language Therapy Services

Our special education program includes speech and language therapy services for students who need specialized support when developing communication skills. A team of therapists and specialists teaches young students how to manage and overcome verbal and non-verbal communication challenges.

Occupational and Physical Accommodation Services

For students with physical disabilities, we provide full occupational and physical accommodation services. Our team works diligently to enhance your child’s cognitive and motor skill abilities to ensure full participation in our educational program. While your child is in the early stages of physical, social, and emotional development, it is critical for our dedicated specialists to meet their physical needs on their educational journey.

Parental/Guardian Involvement

Parents/guardians are the most critical factors in our students overcoming any learning obstacles. We develop valuable partnerships with parents/guardians, family members, and community members to help students progress and achieve overall well-being. Our goal is to manage, mitigate, or remove any disabilities to your child’s education.
