Athletics Program Offering this Year:  Cross Country

Cross country is offered for K-3 students.

Cross country is a sport that combines endurance, teamwork and a love for the outdoors. It's an excellent way for students to stay active while enjoying the beauty of nature. We have two teams to accommodate our students:

Pee-Wee Cross Country (K-2nd Grade)

We offer our youngest students a pee-wee cross-country team designed to introduce them to the world of running and sportsmanship. This program encourages children to develop physical fitness while having fun and making friends. Our experienced coaches provide a safe and nurturing environment where they can learn the basics of running, teamwork, and healthy competition.

JV Cross Country (3rd Grade)

As students enter 3rd grade, they can join our JV cross-country team. This level is designed to challenge students, refine their running techniques, and encourage a deeper understanding of sportsmanship. Our dedicated coaches work closely with students to help them improve their endurance, speed, and overall athletic abilities.

Why Choose Cross Country at Bread Springs Day School?

Physical Fitness

Cross country is an excellent way for students to develop cardiovascular endurance, build strength, and improve overall fitness.

Teamwork

Our athletes learn the importance of teamwork, cooperation, and supporting one another when participating in cross country.

Character Development

We emphasize the values of sportsmanship, discipline and perseverance that extend beyond the running track and into all aspects of life.

Fun and Inclusivity

Sports should be enjoyable for all students. Whether your child is a natural runner or a beginner, they will find a place on our cross-country teams.

Connection to Nature

Cross country allows students to connect with the great outdoors and appreciate the beauty of our natural surroundings.

We invite all eligible students to join our cross-country teams and participate in our athletics program. It's a great way to make friends, discover new talents and stay active.
