Family Involvement
Family Involvement at Bread Springs Day School
Family - A Student’s Greatest Asset
Bread Springs Day School works to create a cooperative community of teachers, students, and family members. Family involvement remains a valuable resource for helping students succeed. Our learning environment invites families to work with our educational program inside and outside the classroom.
Our programs and activities foster stronger relationships between teachers, students, parents and guardians. We encourage open lines of communication for families to reach out to educators, and educators to reach out to parents. Family involvement includes various educational, creative, physical and cultural activities.
Parent Engagement Nights are opportunities for parents/guardians to visit our campus and meet with teachers and administrators. Educators will engage with parents and make themselves available for questions, comments and concerns.
Pumpkin Carving and Turkey Trot are fall season programs that parents/guardians can participate in as spectators or volunteers. While creative students have fun carving up pumpkins with their parents, athletic students participate in a Turkey Trot race while parents cheer them on.
Zumba encourages physical fitness among students and their families. We invite both to participate in fun Zumba programs combining Latin-based music, dance choreography and cardio exercise. Families maintain physical health while staying connected with the school.
Turkey Basket Giveaways are a charitable way for parents to collaborate with Bread Springs Day School. Our giveaways are created to meet the needs of our community, and we encourage families to volunteer with and/or benefit from our turkey giveaways.
FACE Program is the Family and Child Education Program. The FACE program supports parents/guardians in acquiring the early childhood parenting tools, skills and resources their child will need before and during school.
